The latest paintings by Sharon Yamamoto were originally intended for an exhibit at London’s St Lawrence Jewry Church, the official church for the City of London. Sharon was invited to create a show focused on homelessness, a recurrent global problem, which the Guilds of London address in various charitable ways.

The London exhibition was postponed due to the Covid lockdown of 2020 and the Old Fire Station Gallery in Henley-on-Thames is the first venue to be showing these paintings.

The exhibition is called “OPEN” and follows themes of homelessness and what a home means, physically, psychologically and spiritually. The title “OPEN” infers an open door and an open mind and an open heart.
